The Kansas City Symphony Alliance (KCSA) is an enthusiastic group of volunteers who support the Kansas City Symphony through a variety of activities. The Symphony Shop and the annual Symphony Designers’ Showhouse are two of our major fundraisers.
Why Join KCSA?
You will meet some amazing people, get involved in some community projects, and raise thousands of dollars to support symphonic music in Kansas City. This dedicated group of men and women help retain talented musicians in Kansas City, volunteer at concerts, and keep the music playing!

Volunteer Opportunities
Each active member is expected to volunteer 20 hours of service, sell 5 Symphony Designers’ Showhouse tickets (couples membership requirement is 5 tickets total) and to be a member in good standing.
• Social event planning
• Calling committee
• Symphony Designers’ Showhouse (multiple committees such as design, events, house operations, house selection, volunteer coordination, etc.)
• Work at the Symphony Shop (assist customers, ring up sales, assist with setup and close-down)
• Celebration at the Station (Symphony concert at Union Station Memorial Day weekend)
• Volunteer at the Kansas City Symphony office (administrative tasks)
• Assist at KCSA events
Categories of Membership
Active Member $60
Active Member Couple $100 (Minimum of 20 hours of volunteer service and a total of 5 Designers’ Showhouse tickets bought or sold)
Sustaining Member $150
Sustaining Member Couple $280 (Exempt from service hours)
Patron Member $120
Patron Member Couple $200 (An Active Member who has chosen to support the Alliance and the Symphony at a greater level)
