KCSA Online Raffles and Auctions Were Successful

The Kansas City Symphony Alliance (KCSA) was successful holding three different online fund raising events this spring to support the Kansas City Symphony, despite the fact that we were unable to hold any of our usual fund raising events in 2020-21 due to the ongoing restrictions relating to the Covid-19 coronavirus.

KCSA held two online raffles, one for three collections of wine (24 bottles each) and one for a wine tasting with somelier Charles Peach, which features 12 special bottles of wine.  Each of these raffles would ordinarily have been held in connection with our Symphony Designers’ Showhouse project which would have been held in the spring.  These raffles successfully moved online and concluded in more than $7,000 in total being raised.  Our Vice-President President-Elect Ann Stephens was in charge of these two events.

KCSA also held a Secret Art Auction in May, coordinated by the KC Auction Company and chaired by one of our Vice Presidents, Kellie Sullivan.  The Secret Art Auction was also a success, generating several thousand dollars for KCSA.  At right is the promotional graphic we used for the Secret Art Auction (now expired).

KCSA would like to thank its members and all who participated in these online events for making them a success!
