The Kansas City Symphony has announced a full complement of classical music concerts and pops music concerts for the 2021-22 season. Refer to the Symphony web site at kcsymphony.org for more detail.
This means that the Kansas City Symphony Alliance (KCSA) is back up and running for the 2021-22 season! This is a great relief to us after the last two symphony seasons in which our activities were largely disrupted.
Our Symphony Shop will be “back in action” in the Brandmeyer Lobby of the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. The Shop will be open before all of the classical and most of the pops concerts, and during the intermissions. Linda Hartman and Sharon Reimal are the KCSA Vice Presidents in charge of the Symphony Shop. Please visit Volunteer Matters, our volunteer management service, to reserve your shifts for working at the Symphony Shop. Please help us make the return of the Shop a successful one! If you have any trouble accessing Volunteer Matters online, please consult with our technology guru Nancy Johnson at email@example.com.
We are also busy working on plans for our 52nd annual Symphony Designers’ Showhouse for the spring of 2022. Barbara Berry, our new Showhouse chair, is busy trying to locate an appropriate house for our Showhouse next spring. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please contact her firstname.lastname@example.org/
Our Secret Art Auction which was made its debut as an online-only fundraiser this spring was successful, and we plan to continue it this year. It will be held in the November 2021 time frame. Kellie Sullivan is in charge of this project.
Thanks to our Board of Directors and volunteers for keeping KCSA alive and will during the pandemic. We look forward to seeing all of our members at our events this year!
